I did it! + The next 30 day challenge for me!

I can't believe it...I actually got through a whole month
without spending any money!
VERY SURPRISING.

It has definitely been hard but well worth it.
It's kind of freeing knowing I don't have to spend money
to have a good time, nor does spending money "define" me.

Reflecting back on the past 30 days I have learned several things
that I can apply to my everyday life (for the rest of my life).
The biggest thing is that just because I see something I like, doesn't mean I have to have it.
Obviously this past month I have seen several things that I would have normally

purchased without thinking about, but  I have been able to walk
away from it. And honestly, I haven't thought twice about the things I

wanted but didn't purchase. I never had those thoughts of "If I don't get it
now then it won't be here when I come back for it." I've grown to have this
opinion of "So what?!?!" who cares if it's not there when I decide to come back.
If it's something that is necessary or I'm just so in love with it that I can't
stand the thought of walking away from it, then I'll purchase it. But until
I get that feeling about something...I don't need to spend my money on it.
I have a feeling that this way of thinking isn't going to change anytime soon.
It honestly feels great to be able to walk away from something that I normally
wouldn't have been able to.

And since I have been able to make it through 30 days without spending any money,
and seeing how much it has changed my views on things. I thought I  should start
coming up with little 30 day challenges for every month.
I'm thinking that my next 30 day challenge will be to go to the gym everyday.

I've been wanting to get back on my health kick and have that commitment I have

had with the gym before, but I've been...lets face it...coming up with "excuses"
as to why I couldn't go to the gym.
Some things were legit but other times I was just saying "I'm just too tired".
Every time I say "I'm just to tired" or "I'll just go in the morning" and I never end up going.
All it does is keep me one day behind where I could have been.
I have a mini-trip coming up early March and I want to get rid of some of
the bulge I have so I can look and feel confident.
The bigger picture is that I just need to get healthy.

Sure, It will be GREAT to lose a few pounds but
ultimately, when you go to the gym and you're active,
you feel better about yourself.
I've also noticed that I'll really not want to go to the gym, but once I get up
there and the first few mins have gone by...I'm really glad I got up there.
Last night I went and I pushed myself to do a few extra miles and I felt great!

So with all of that being said....
I am making my next 30 day challenge (that starts today)
To go to the gym at least once everyday for the next 30 days.
Because this is more of a physical challenge I will keep everyone updated
on my Stats. I'll be weighing in every Wednesday and letting you know

how much weight I have lost, or if I have lost any...I will probably
also include any inches I have lost.
Like I said before, I'm not going into this thinking that I will lose a bunch of weight.

I'm just doing it to stay active and force myself to do something.
I feel like I hold myself more accountable if I give myself a challenge
and share it with the "blog world".
So if I come out of this 30 days and I haven't lost any weight or inches...

I'll be happy that I have  completed my  personal 30 day challenge.

I would like to mention my friend Whitney over at The Land of Sunshine
has been doing amazing at her workout/weight loss. She's been very committed to eating
healthy and daily work outs. I am very proud of her and she's worked so hard to get to where she is! She's lost almost 20 pounds (if not 20 pds) in about 30 days. Seeing her success only makes me more motivated. I see it as, if she can do it, I can do it! Also if you're interest in any of the Beach Body workout systems check out Whitney's Beach body website. (link posted in next sentence)Whitney just became a Beach Body Coach! and  she's

super great at keeping everyone motivated. Even if you don't want to purchase any
work out videos from Beach Body, she's still a great person to help keep you
motivated! So head on over to her blog and check her out!
She's Fabulous!
