New Year...New Beginnings.

Or at least that's what supposed to happen, right?!?!?

I had all these great intentions of posting yesterday but got
wrapped up in rearranging my room and setting up my new desk.
I'm loving my new desk!!!

It's still a little bare and out of whack,
nothing has seemed to find its place on it
just yet, but when it does it's going to be
amazing! :)

I was thinking about New Year's Resolutions a lot yesterday.
About what I wanted to accomplish this year and what not.
But I couldn't really think of anything other than the cliche,
get in shape, eat healthier, go to the gym more often,
kind of thing...Which don't get me wrong, those are great
things to want to do! I just feel like I do that every year, and
I wanted to do something different. Half the time my resolutions aren't
really resolutions as much as they are goals. So here are a few of my "resolution-goals."

1. Capture more moments

I love photography and it's something I really enjoy
doing in my spare time. The last half of the year I haven't
really given myself my time for this and I really want to get back into it.

2. Spend Less//Save More
I have to explain this one a little bit. Because with the following
things I have on my list, you're going to think...whoa,she's not saving
any money she's spending it all!!
Which isn't true, we're able to put money back, I just want to put even more back.
I have a habit of picking up nick-knacks. Little space stealers, things like that.
And that's what I want to avoid spending my money on this year.
There's really not a point in half of them that I purchase and I end up
putting them in a closet and never seeing them again.
Now with that being said...here comes the rest of my list.

3. Buy an iMAC.
This is partially my hubby's idea.
He's a wee bit crazy about Call of Duty and things like that.
Although I hate to admit this and I hope he never sees this next statement,
because it would ruin everything he thinks I stand for when it comes to that game....
He's actually pretty good. And I know he gets several requests for instructional
videos and stuff like that, so he wants to get a good computer that will he will
be able to edit his videos and things like that in.
Of course I want one because I'm obsessed with Apple products now.
I'm so disappointed in my Dell that I purchased back in 2008...
I could go on forever, but that's a completely different story.
So I'm just done purchasing PC's and I'm ready for something...
...BETTER...
I mean look how gorgeous it is?!?!?!

It just looks like a boss. HAHA.

4. Buy my dream Louis Vuitton handbag.
I have wanted this particular handbag for at least
5+ years. And now that I'm a grown up with a
"grown up" job, I want to fulfill my dreams.
I think it's gorgeous, you may not..but I love it
so much..
Here she is...

It's the Neverful GM. It's a basic looking bag, but has
tons of room. And for anyone who knows me, knows
that I carry everything in my handbags, so the more room...
the better!

5. I currently have a gym membership and I used to go every night.
But once I got my promotion I've been to lazy to even think about
committing to a nightly work out again. So I keep telling myself
that I'm going to get back into my work out routine and this time
I'm not going to stop going.
It's so hard to start back up again, and once you've got over that
"I really don't want to go" hump you hit the "I love going to the gym"
phase and that's the amazing one! I love feeling like I love going.
So...I will do this..I will start making time for the gym.

6. I want to spend more time with my family and friends.
Again this goes back to my work schedule. I usually work nights, so as soon
as I get off work the last thing I want to do is go run around. And when I have
days off I've been staying home and being lazy or slaving away with cleaning.
So I'm going to try not to let that happen. I think once I start working out again
and eating less fast food, I will have the energy to want to go out and do things
again. It goes hand in hand.

7.  This goes back to the saving more//spending less topic.
I am currently taking a 30 day no spending challenge.
It's something I came up with on my own that I would
not spend any money this month unless it was necessary
or bills. One day down....30 more to go..
The first day was kind of hard, because I had already
planned on running around and spending my gift cards
I racked up during the holidays, but my awesome friend
Whitney is really holding me to the no spending.
She told me that even using my gift cards was spending and
I should wait until the end of the month to use those as well.
And I've thought about it. And I can use my gift cards to celebrate
at the end of the month! Then I'm not blowing the money I just saved.
Whitney, you're awesome and thank you for keeping my butt on the right track!

8. This year my hubby and I want to start traveling.
Our first stop will hopefully be Destin Florida around April.
I'm ready for some warm weather and to see some palm trees and the beach...
OH yeah and WHITNEY AND MIKEY!
They're actually the reason we'd be going down, besides the fact that we've
wanted to go to Florida for a while.
So I'm pretty excited and I can't wait for it.

Well this is pretty much what I have came up with for the year.
I'm sure as each one of these happen you guys will hear about it!

I hope everyone is successful in their new years resolutions/goals.
It feels good to set your sights for something and reach it!
